Coming Out Straight: Online puts you behind the eyes of someone who may be different from you: a straight person in a predominantly gay world. What would it be like to be a sexual minority? Create a character and find out.

Players are presented with choose-your-own adventure style scenarios. These situations highlight some of the factors that sexual minorities need to consider when making decisions. Ever heard of homophobia or heterosexism? Get ready to experience heterophobia and homosexism. Responses are multiple choice, but every decision has consequences. A bad decision may cause humiliation, pain, or simply a lost opportunity, and as in life, many decisions have both good and bad consequences. These consequences are reflected your score.

Coming Out Straight: Online is based on the as-yet unpublished novel Coming Out Straight.

As a novel, Coming Out Straight juxtaposes sexual identities to answer the question: What would it be like to be straight in a world where everyone is gay? The protagonist is a straight man living life as a sexual minority. Click here for more about the novel.
